Ask HN: What Are Your Most Useful Everyday AI Use-Cases? Here Are My Top

4•kotyk•21h ago
Hey HN,

I've been building a few personal GPT-powered tools to simplify and enhance daily tasks — and thought it would be useful to open a thread for sharing AI lifehacks in one place. Here's what I'm using:

1. Profiler Assistant This GPT knows my professional background (skills, past projects, industries I care about), and helps me:

write cover letters tailored to specific roles,

generate Upwork proposals based on job descriptions,

respond to business emails in context of my domain,

refine summaries for resumes or LinkedIn.

Basically, it's a memory-augmented writing assistant for my career.

2. NotAtKer (Notetaking Assistant) A GPT that takes rough text or voice transcripts — including “ums”, filler words, disorganized thoughts — and converts them into:

cleanly formatted notes,

logical outlines,

bullet point action items.

Great for stream-of-consciousness dumps, voice memos, or transcribing meetings.

3. Daily AI Digest This GPT agent checks a list of hand-picked sites (e.g. arXiv, HuggingFace blog, OpenAI, news aggregators), then gives me:

a short daily summary of key AI updates,

high-signal articles, releases or tools,

optional commentary or context (e.g. “this update might be relevant if you're working in X”).

No more FOMO across 10+ channels.

I'd love to hear what you are using AI for on a regular basis — especially the lesser-known workflows or clever setups that really save you time or boost output.

What are your everyday AI lifehacks?
