Interesting concept but I have been doing much the same for years using Material Files on Android which has an ftp server built-in.
Apparently, a lot of people don't realize that Windows File Manager has ftp built-in as well.
Just start the ftp server in Material Files, note the provided address then type "ftp://local_ip:port" in File Manager address bar to connect over local wifi with more ready made capability than you're likely to receive from a browser interface.
