Disturbing Rumor – PBS NewsHour (Brooks / Capehart)

8•mobileturdfctry•11h ago
Not sure why my link directly to the YouTube video was flagged, since this is valid news from a legitimate (centrist) news source PBS NewsHour.

The rumor is apparently becoming more widespread among politicians and people who work in government. That the Trump administration is probing for ways to create the conditions for invoking the Insurrection Act. Both the left of center and right of center commentators are both in agreement that the Trump administration is trying to do everything that it can to be as unproductive as possible in the loudest most obnoxious ways.

Please look this up for yourself if curious, and search for the video titled: "Capehart and Ponnuru on the politics of Israel's attack and Iran's response"

...And from the other side of doomsaying, we're being bombarded with reports that NGOs, the CIA, the CCP and/or supranational orgs are funneling money into an ongoing protest movement.

Everyone seems to have an interest in presenting things in the most alarmist terms. Even if either side's claims were sober reporting sans spin, I would personally appreciate less alarmism. People are already on edge. Partisans everywhere are at each other's throats.

We need more compassion and less insinuation of malice.

Except there is provable malice on both sides. The power edifice is now too strong to be responsibly wielded by who we seem capable of mustering to wield it. In short, it is no longer the case that Lincoln's admonishment of "no man can do much damage in 4 years" is the case. Arguably it wasn't even back then... but now...here we are.

You are absolutely right more compassion and willingness to compromise is needed though.

PBS isn't centrist in any way shape or form. They are hard left. Thier CEO under oath said they don't have a single Repuclican on their staff. 100% left biased shill rag. The money trail is clear.
