I remember someone who was locked up by both the Shah and the Ayatollahs. He said being in prison under the Shah was mind numbingly boring. While being locked up by the Ayatollahs was utterly terrifying 24/7. At the end of the Iran Iraq war the Ayatollahs murdered most of their political prisoners.

Hahaha even if they matched U.S. Marines straight into Tehran (and that is never happening) I doubt the Shah will ever be restored. The day in the sun for that particular psychopathic ruling class project is over.
