If you mean not wasting time so I can get more work done, no social media. Canceled all of them so I don't waste time on nonsense. Got quite a bit of time in return.

If you mean not having to start over or do a lot of rework, I think through my tasks before starting on them. Measure twice, cut once.

chistev•5h ago
I consider the social media thing too, but I feel I'd be depriving myself of job opportunities.

I just try to do what I have planned for the day, and use them after.

gregjor•16s ago
I have never seen a job opportunity on Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, etc.

In the (now distant) past LinkedIn had some value if I needed to reach out to professional contacts or recruiters. Now it just has job spam and self-promotional crap. I quit LinkedIn a couple of years ago after seeing no value from it. No one I would care to work with uses it either, other than as an email directory of professional contacts.

This site has some value for keeping up with things and maybe for the job postings, I have never used those.
