Yeah there's practically no information in either this post or the cybernews article. Researchers 'briefly accessed' object storage that showed there being billions of records, and that's essentially all the concrete information out of the article. Nothing on what the contents are or if they're encrypted or anything.

it sounds like they browsed a credential-selling market and summed up the accounts for each listing
knowing what the records say/are, entails making a purchase, which would cost too much for a PR piece
