But I do like the middle ground provided here. While I don't think people truly "own" plants, you do have a duty of care to them. A clipping here or there when asked for isn't a bad thing. And this is one area where I think the 'tragedy of the commons' won't be an issue.
This is fascinating, it definitely falls into the basket of ethics, and ethics is different for everyone.

Yeah, not sorry but this is all I need to know: DISCARDED plant material. That means it’s been claimed by the last owners to be defunct and immaterial.
Arguing against that information alone is why we’ve destroyed the planet. Vulture capitalism will be and practically already is the death of us all.
