similarly, I got conned a few years ago by the christmas pricing scam at ARGOS.

My son, a heavy gamer, wanted a second gaming monitor as one of his christams presents.

So, trying to be an excellent father, I shoot down to the ARGOS store early December to buy said monitor.

The member of staff told me it was not in stock and had to order the gaming monitor, all well and good.

I asked if they wanted me to pay for it today.

Staff member said, "No need, you can pay when you collect it"

Fathers job done.

Went to collect said monitor a few days before christsmas. giving me time to wrap it.

I got out my wallet ready to pay. Unbelievably it was £100 more than when I ordered it two weeks previously.

I was trapped. do I let my son down or just pay for it.

I had to pay. scamming bastards.

I challenged this:

The member of staff told me, I could have paid on the day, but the staff had been instructed not to accept payments on the day of order by the managers. Wankers

I dont use argos anymore. once bitten twice shy
