A person who performs in a porn movie has to be in at most one porn movie; they may or may not develop a personal brand.

An OnlyFans performer would be expected to develop a personal brand and get repeat customers.

On one hand I think there were a lot of artistically bad things in porn that persisted because porn copied prior porn and was not in a conversation with consumers. For instance there used to be a lot of photos where the performer had an ugly scowl on their face [1] because... why? I can only imagine it's mimesis.

On the other hand, OnlyFans is like a gatcha game in that they make a lot of money from "whales" who spend thousands of dollars on performers which seems unhealthy to me.
