The Department of Housing and Urban Development announced on Wednesday that it was moving its headquarters out of Washington and into a building in Alexandria, Virginia, already occupied by the National Science Foundation, with no clear plan in place for the foundation’s employees. Union representatives for the foundation’s employees said that more than 1,833 people with the agency work in the building, and that they did not know where those employees would go.

It seems the plan is to turn it into a luxury penthouse for Trump apparatchiks, using our tax money:

> HUD Secretary Scott Turner [...] has made specific requests for accommodations in the building [...] include a dedicated executive suite on the 19th floor, construction of an executive dining room, and reserved parking spaces for his five cars. [...] exclusive use of one elevator and space on the 18th floor to host his executive assistants. Plans potentially include a gym for Turner and his family.
