Yes definitely it is! I shared the similar thing on https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=44388134 just couple hours ago. I am happy to use ready products from other, I just created that only to solve my daily need. I will give a shot to https://instaask.ai/ . The only issue I see with this is I need to trust owner on my queries. Running local seems little bit more secure but not sure worth to effort tbh.
Edit: Ah, I also have open source python library to unify AI providers calls if you are interested in using at the backend that I forgot to mention.
