Ask HN: Why are only CEOs building products at record speeds

CEO means someone capable of EXECUTION.

In the gets paid in money and respect world that doesn’t mean “can do every job herself”, it means “gets it done, is accountable.”

That’s how “products” are built.

codingdave•1h ago
This question is backwards. "CEO" is a job title. Products that being built at record speeds need leadership and organization. Someone has that job, therefore has that title, therefore CEOs build products quickly.

CEOs also build products slowly. Some fail. Some get fired. Some keep the lights on for mature products. They produce an entire spectrum of results, with quickly built products being one of many possible outcomes.
