I post the Economist summary (vs. the paper) because the chart I found most interesting is prominent there. I was surprised by how low trust in scientists is in Germany & France (much lower vs. US).
Stepping back, despite my belief in both Science and scientists, it's essential that our scientific institutions find a way to market themselves better.
I've learned repeatedly in my life that being correct has little impact if you cannot convince others. And holding out for future vindication is rarely effective. It's like in investing where: "The market can stay irrational longer than you can remain solvent."
