I'm a coin collector with a habit that got out of control — flea market finds, leftover foreign change, even a few from my grandpa’s drawer. Soon I had coins everywhere, and zero clue what many of them were worth.
I couldn’t tell apart variations from the same year. Prices across platforms (eBay, Taobao, Xianyu) varied wildly. And managing it all in spreadsheets was a pain.
You upload two photos of a coin (front + back, just from your phone)
It auto-identifies country, year, mint mark, material, etc.
Then shows real-world price ranges based on auctions and marketplaces
Bonus: Flags coins that are obscure but surprisingly valuable
It’s most accurate for coins from 1850–2000, especially vintage ones.
The grading part is still basic — working on improving that with expert input.
Would love for fellow collectors or curious folks to try it out.
Throw in your weirdest coins — especially the ones you don’t even know how to name — and let me know how it does.

So I built a tool for myself: https://coinvaluechecker.org
Here’s what it does:
