The Hamas-Run Ministry of Health in Gaza was destroyed by a targeted Israeli missile approximately 5 months after the genocide escalation began, which is to say, approximately 15 months ago. Yet we keep using its latest published figure as if it's current, presumably because we want to downplay the number of deaths. I don't see any other reason we'd keep using that number. Even linear extrapolation would do better.

Also why does "Hamas-Run" need to be in the title? Weren't they the government of Gaza? So they run everything there. It's like talking about US government departments as "Democrat-Run" or "Republican-Run" depending on who's the president. "analyzing wait times at the Republican-run DMV"
