Disclaimer - we started work on this in earnest in February and even back then it started to look a lot like what the article presented. Someone at Figma can maybe help back us up here if needed(!)
Pete Koomen's take on it really helped validate the problem space, and we don't pretend to have solved this to the level of his demo (yet). However we're pretty stoked with how our multi-account, natural language prioritization approach is taking shape.
This first step is a read-only, triage UI for all of your Google-based accounts. We hope to add smart draft replies soon that you can adjust to suit.
If you use a +hn alias when you sign up, I'll make sure to prioritize you on the waitlist (you can change which Google-based email you actually onboard at that stage, not locked on waitlist).
We're in live alpha with a decent chunk of users that have helped stress test a few areas, so this is by no means day zero.
Privacy - We don't store any emails (we use local caching on your device to keep things performant) nor do we do any weird stuff like hiding messages in your Gmail (unlike other platforms tackling this space). CASA Tier 2 third-party audited.
