I've been working on an open source tool designed for incident response (IR) and case management, aimed at helping folks in forensics, IR, or part of a SOC handling security incidents and breaches.

I wanted the backend to be compatible with Microsoft Excel spreadsheets—specifically the infamous "Spreadsheet of Doom"—so that even if you don’t use the tool, the data remains accessible and usable.

Kanvas is an IR case management tool with an intuitive desktop interface, built in Python. It provides a unified workspace for investigators who rely on spreadsheets, help manage cases and complete key workflows without switching between different Apps.
