My app charted on the App Store, and that sucked

What part of it “sucked” exactly? OK, your app reached #15 with very few downloads, and then nothing bad or good happened. What exactly was the “sucking” part?

This is looking more like a disguised ad than a genuine post. You don’t need to engage in subterfuge, you could just submit the app as a Show HN and probably gotten better results than the clickbait.

It genuinely wasn't meant as an ad. What sucked about it was realizing that every prospect I had of making money through paid apps (as opposed to apps with in-app purchases) withered away once I realized just how few downloads paid apps get.
