Show HN: Build your own AI code editor

https://github.com/computerex/bronie
2•computerex•11h ago
Bronie was bootstrapped using bronie itself, it's a self generating AI code editor. It cost roughly $40 USD to generate over the weekend. I did not write any of the code myself.

It supports OpenRouter, and any LLM provider with an OpenAI API compliant endpoint (most of them).

It was written to be extended as a good base. I hope you'll try it, fork it, extend/modify it for your own use.

I wanted to explore to see how difficult it is to make a useful code editor amid the Cursor Pricing Crisis. I think I reached the conclusion that the platform isn't very important, models are the sauce.
