Fake views already happen. You can pay to have your views bumped just like anything else. They just have to make it look realistic.

Trying to automate it in a way they won’t notice is harder than described here, though.

But you have to have human-looking user histories and behavior, and that isn’t trivial.

Before going to do this sort of thing, know that the data collected already sucks. The “algorithm” is not something perfectly tuned to suck humanity in. And if you were going to try to alter something, why not choose a system that actually is tuned, like TikTok.
