I’ve been building StopAddict, a simple tool to help people track their addictions and quit step-by-step.
I created it because I struggled to track my own bad habits and found that seeing daily progress (or setbacks) made a huge difference. Most addiction apps are cluttered with features I didn’t need, so I wanted something minimal and motivating.
Features: • Track daily streaks for any addiction (social media, smoking, etc.) • See your XP and level up as you stay clean • Journaling to note cravings and patterns • Weekly and monthly progress views
The goal is to make quitting feel like a game, while helping users understand their triggers and patterns.
I’m looking for feedback from the HN community: • What would help you stay consistent with quitting? • Any friction points in similar apps you’ve tried? • Any feature you wish existed to support you in this journey?
You can try it here: https://www.stopaddict.net/
Thanks for checking it out. Happy to answer questions and iterate based on your feedback.
