Tell HN: Amazon Pharmacy's Negligence Endangers Patient Safety

3•mkrishnan•3h ago
I recently ordered Zepbound, a temperature-sensitive medication requiring strict storage conditions (46°F), from Amazon Pharmacy. The consistently inadequate packaging has resulted in repeated deliveries at room temperature, compromising the medication's efficacy and potentially posing a health risk.

Amazon Pharmacy's response to my complaints was dismissive, suggesting I fill my prescription elsewhere. My subsequent complaint to the FDA has yielded no action.

Please avoid amazon pharmacy for any medication requires temperature control.

Perhaps they should be avoided altogether if they can deliver medication safely?

Best not take that risk if their incompetence and ignorance endangers lives

mkrishnan•3h ago
Yes, I have used for few months without realizing that the meds are not coming in required temperature, I was just trusting them, then I checked the temperature 4 weeks are when delivered and found the issue, since then I have ordered 3 times and returned all 3 times and had several calls with the pharmacy team and finally they told me to F off, and it is what it is and I can find another pharmacy if I dont like them.

It happened to me as well. I went thru Eli Lilly direct which uses amazon pharmacy.

I complained to Eli Lilly and amazon, they dont care at all.
