I think the biggest risk to Google is that searching by voice through speakers, smart devices like watches, etc. becoming more used breaks the habit of "just Google it"

That said, paid Google Gemini with "Deep Research" enabled on the prompt is the only AI that has replaced search for me. But even then, I often think of a few topics I briefly search after seeing what Gemini finds.

AI search is much slower than regular search, but provides much more useful data in return.

Yea, nice to kick off something when it pops into my head, come back later for the results, and then doy reading of it and follow on manual searches

In this sense, that it takes 10-20 minutes is not such a big deal
