Living in Silicon Valley, I see so much short-term thinking disguised as “ambition.” Even the founders working themselves to the bone often have surprisingly little agency. It’s not always their vision they’re chasing, it’s someone else’s returns. Feels less like bold ambition, more like puppetry.
