my answer to these kinds of laws will always be VPNs until they eventually ban those services (and i'm sure they will). then we'll be in game of cat and mouse.

another hope i had was ironically the trump admin. my hope was that tariffs would be tied to internet freedom. i guess i was wrong.

Banning VPNs is hilariously non-viable though due to business needs. It forces a fight between money and moral panicers.

Then again these are people dumb enough to try to fight cryptography while complaining about being a target of cyberattacks.

With this and the UK government forcing Apple to backdoor iCloud (which lead to them no longer offering ADP in the UK), it feels like we're losing the battle for any kind of online privacy. It feels like the ship is sinking and I want to leave more than ever.
