Does this mean that Chromebooks are going to suddenly have to deal with the bullshit hardened security posture of Android?

Am I not going to be able to root my Chromebook or put another operating system on it now? Will I have to worry about SafetyNet attestation?

Will the recent crippling of AOSP also hinder development of further support for Chromebooks now?

This is a bit of a darker day for the Chromebook ecosystem.
