In terms of auto sales, Tesla is toast. Chinese manufacturers will easily overwhelm them in India without protective tariffs.

The same applies to other manufacturers. China is on track to literally own the international auto market in a few years.

And we already know the result for American consumers from past history --- higher prices and lower quality --- and tariffs will only make things worse.

And who doesn't want lower quality and higher prices?
