I decided to go with the self-hosted, open-source way, as I want users to maintain 100% ownership of their data, focusing on privacy and also encourage users to participate in the project on GitHub.
Me and my partner have currently over 200 plants, so it definitely helps us to manage, track and journal our plants. Apart from the management and organisational aspects, it's also quite cozy to just browse through all your plants and their photos during commute or when having a coffee break.
I'm really thankful that I built something that connects technology with nature.
If you are a plant owner, feel free to provide any feedback on the app. You can install it via docker or try the live demo. I'm thankful for any constructive ideas, feedback or even criticism.
Have a great, leafy day.
