Yes, the article's short. But, being on BSD Cafe, it really should have stated the generality:

If the platform (OS, framework, whatever) allows users to develop and install their own stuff (binaries, plugins, whatever), then the platform can't be secure in the face of user incompetence or inattention.

(Yeah, others have doubtless phrased that better.)
