Show HN: I built a no-code ETL tool (v0.2) to clean messy CSVs using prompts

2•Ukd_1209•6h ago
Hey HN!

A couple months ago, I shared a scrappy little tool called DonutData to help clean up messy datasets with natural language prompts.

Since then, I’ve been quietly building and improving it based on feedback — and today I’m back with v0.2!

What DonutData does now:

Upload a messy CSV, write a plain English prompt (“remove nulls, rename columns, drop duplicates, encoding, etc”)

See a preview before the complete transformation

Save and reuse that workflow anytime

Download cleaned results (Power BI, Sheets, webhook & ML integrations coming soon)

Play with it in a Storylane demo: https://app.storylane.io/share/s9p3iqyslzoo

Right now, it works best for CSV and JSON files, but we’re working on support for log files.

Would love to hear what you think any feedback, ideas, or “this totally sucks” is super welcome. Still very much in the builder phase, and learning as I go.

Thanks so much! — Ujjwal https://donutdata.in
