This is the project we've worked for over a year, gaining already over 1300 stars, 200 Discord members, the container of cyber livings, Project AIRI, where you can own your own customized AI companion on mobile devices, desktops, and be able to play Minecraft, Factorio, connects Discord, Telegram, while be able to do normal chat, realtime voice chat, and many other things.

We were working hard for the past month to deliver better Desktop version of our Project AIRI, we decided previously to hold our initial show on HN until next release with many more features. However, yesterday, xAI announced Grok Companion mode, the so called AI companion to have a girl friend / cyber waifu living inside your device backed by xAI's Grok models.

Luckily, we were also working on the new landing and documentation page, the new fresh look isn't like any other AI projects, now the work has done, I think this is quite a opportunity for us to show to everyone.

So this is the post about it.

You may wonder who Neuro-sama is, she is the famous AI VTuber on the internet for the past two years of AI hype, capable of playing Minecraft, Among Us, and chat with stream. I've always enjoyed watching her and her creator Vedal streams and clips.

Last year, between May 2024, and June 2024, I started to re-create what Vedal has done for years. We initiated the organization Moeru AI, and Project AIRI for this specific work. We created so many beloved open source projects when working on this project, including the previous posted xsAI (Vercel AI SDK alternative) on HN, and unspeech for speech providers works like many other LLM providers gateway... feel free to check http://github.com/moeru-ai and http://github.com/proj-airi.
