At that price you could get a α7iv and two really nice lenses. I don't get it.

It's a really cool toy if you can afford it and want to spend that much money. A tiny but premium full-frame point-and-shoot could be super useful if you're in a situation where you can't carry much. If I was rich (I'm not) and did a lot of street and travel shooting (I don't), it might make some sense.

It competes with a lot of other things.
If I cared about portability and wanted something small I'd probably go for an Olympus 4/3 camera. I find that 50MP in full frame is a lot of pixels -- when my body failed I thought about getting a 7R (more pixels) series because I wanted to do focus stacking for flowers but I do a lot of sports stuff and come back with 1000 photos from a game and don't need to double the size. So I could live with less than full frame if I cared more about small.
As a semi-pro photographer I have an investment of more than that in bodies and glass not to mention flashes, tripods and stuff. Often I think "wouldn't it be nice to have a kit which is more compact?" but my photog friends remind me "are you going to give up any quality for that?" So I don't see myself paying pro prices for anything that isn't pro in every way.
