The study makes subclasses of autism based on parent reported behavioral phenotypes in questionnaires. They find that the subclasses have different genetic characteristics. Importantly they do not initially map genetic characteristics to the subclasses, thus there is no prediction of autism (subclasses) from genetics. However it lends additional credibility to the notion that autism is rather the autisms, a set of disorders with similar behavioral profiles but different causes.
