Can cat eat this food? Our website can help you find out

Hello Everyone!

I have a cat, her name is 'candy'. I'm constantly facing the same dilemma. When i was in the kitchen, holding a piece of cheese or a strawberry, and my cat looks up at you with those big, pleading eyes.

The question immediately pops into my head: "Can she eat this?"

Then comes the frantic Googling, sifting through conflicting articles and dubious blog posts. It's stressful.

That's why I created cancateat.food, a definitive food safety database designed for curious cats and cautious owners.

Our goal is to provide instant, clear, and reliable answers without any hassle.

Core Highlights:

Extensive & Growing Database: We've launched with nearly 200 common foods and are adding more every week! Our library covers 12 major categories, from Meat and Fruit to trickier items like Seasoning, Fungi, and Prepared foods.

Clear, Intuitive Safety Ratings: No more ambiguity. Every food is assigned one of three simple ratings (same as website):

Safe Foods: Go ahead, share a tiny piece!

Use Caution: Okay in small, controlled amounts. We explain the risks.

Dangerous Foods: Absolutely not. Keep these far away from your cat.

Backed by Authoritative Sources: Your trust is our top priority. All our information is carefully compiled and cross-referenced from reputable veterinary and scientific sources, including:

ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center

Veterinary Nutritionist Guidelines

Pet Food Safety Research

Completely Free & No Login Required: Get the information you need, instantly. No paywalls, no sign-ups, zero friction. Your cat's safety shouldn't be behind a login screen.

Optimized for Mobile: The website is designed to be your quick-check companion on your phone, right when you need it.

What's Coming Next?

We're just getting started! Our next big feature is a comprehensive blog. Soon, you'll be able to click on any food to read a detailed article about its specific effects on cats, proper portion sizes, and potential symptoms to watch out for. We're moving from quick answers to deep knowledge.

I'm here all day to answer your questions and would absolutely love your feedback. What do you think? What foods should we add next?

Check it out and help us build the ultimate safety resource for cat lovers everywhere!

Nice :)

One small quirk/bug:

1. Browse all ( https://www.cancateat.food/search ). There are 174 results found in "All foods".

2. Go on to page 2.

3. Now click on a smaller category, like Diary. There are 7 results found in that category... but you can't see any.

The problem is the pager remains on page 2 when clicking a category. "Page 2 in Diary" is empty because there aren't enough results to fill a second page. Not only that, but the pager is actually hidden if the number of results is less than one page. So you get "7 results" but you can't see them and you can't page back down.

I'd guess you need to reset page back to 1 whenever you click a category.

Wow, my god, ...sharp eyes like yours. I will fix it as soon as possible.

Honestly, if you happened to notice any other issues or have any other feedback, I would be thrilled to hear it.

Thanks again!!!
