Depending on if they mean per month, that seems like more than their patreon income.

The patreon system is very interesting, I pay one creator on there, and it really does seem to provide some of them some real independence from the free platforms like youtube, or the very closed platforms like spotify.

In addtion some youtube channels that have substantial patreon followings seem a lot more chill. The inevitable "youtub-isms" of yelling and outrage and drama seem less inevitable when the channel has reliable income based on not having to video to video increase views and etc. In a way I think it has made some parts of youtube better.
