He likes getting attention. He exemplifies poor science in these events. Low probabilities of one thing being the case do not increase thr probability of any far-fetched other thing. And "can't be of type X because it's too big" lacks a basis, we don't have a lot of data on objects compared to the number of objects out there. Not predicted by the little we know is quite different.
