The program is still in early development, but the demo is functional, and it has a lot of potential.
This could make the transition way simpler than having to flash a USB drive and boot from it — something that the average person wouldn't bother doing.

I considered making a tool like this myself, but canned the idea because of Secure Boot - most PCs have it enabled by default these days, and the average non-technical person wouldn't bother disabling it. And trying to explain how to enter the BIOS and disabling it for various device models and BIOS types would be way too tedious (and even then, you won't be able to cover every machine/BIOS type).
So I figured that if a person is tech savvy enough to figure out how to boot into the BIOS and disable Secure Boot, they would be tech savvy enough be able to just create a bootable USB instead - and I reckon that's a far more easier-to-explain and achievable goal, especially since most major distros these days can be installed with Secure Boot enabled, so you can skip the BIOS instructions for the most part.
Hence why I canned my idea, and why I don't think Operese has any value either (sorry - but happy to be proved wrong).
