I feel very little patriotism for the EU bueaucracy and expect it to support surveillance and lawfare.

In essence the idea is good, but I don't see it as something positive in political reality.

On the contrary, software should keep its very critical stance against state actors and their bureaucracies. I also am conviced today that keeping the EUs budget small is beneficial and the EU lacks legitimacy to collect taxes in my opinion.
