As a developer, I used to be constantly interrupted by Slack messages like "Hey, can you change 'Submit' to 'Send' on the checkout page?" with a screenshot attached.
We built Prismy with a great interface to enable anyone to edit translations, but it still had this context-switching problem. The typical workflow was painful: spot wording issues → open new tab → search for text in the translation management system → make changes blindly → submit → pray it fits → repeat when it inevitably doesn't.
So we created a Chrome extension that changes the game completely.
Now anyone on the team can:
- Browse your webapp and click any text to edit it
- See exactly how changes look in real context
- Submit changes that arrive as clean pull requests
- No more screenshots, no more "hunt the translation key" games
This eliminates:
- Developer bottlenecks for copy changes
- Context switching when spotting wording issues
- The blind edit-deploy-pray cycle
Even as a developer, I love using it myself - iterating on wording in live mode beats the edit-deploy-check cycle every time.
