I am going to say that air and food do not really count s tech. They are part of the environment. There is tech related to those things but not those things themselves. If you want to include them then add water.

Also, vi? Emacs is much better.

water in the list. yeah the author tried to imply all the tech related to those (air, water, food, etc) by citing a few examples (pipes, AC...)

eg. a microwave is an amazingly powerful tool. and pots/pans combined with fire and water? game over, other tech, game over
