Ask HN: Influx of Telegram Spam?

I've been on Telegram for years and have never gotten a single spam message before. In the last few hours, I've gotten multiple spam messages from different accounts. Has this happened to anyone else? Is there something going on with their whole platform, or am I just unlucky?
