Not weirder. It's doing exactly what they expected. It behaves just like plain matter.
It's really hard to work with, and it's a major feat to have accomplished this. But the result of all that huge effort was just telling us what we already knew. Or at least, we'd have been shocked if it turned out different.
Being able to do that does open up the possibility of more experiments that might turn up something weird. But so far this is precisely the existing level of quantum weirdness.
