I love Vegas (even the modern version, although not quite as much), but the fact is that everything about Vegas is both the most optional of stuff and has become very expensive (inflation adjusted).

In these days of such huge economic uncertainty, the smart move is to get rid of all optional expenses and build up your reserves in case of utter disaster. A trip to Vegas seems financially reckless right now.
