Seems like an oversight not mention that Lake Travis Sports Academy specifically focuses on sports as the after-academics activity? If the author was not aware of this, that suggest insufficient research. If she was aware and chose not to include this relevant fact, that signals bias.

I found this review [1] to be much more informative. Can't understand why the NYT would publish something so clearly inferior, so much later.
