This is no matter of students cheating but of the system to evaluate students failing.

They are using the tools at hand and that is what I expect from my team members too.

When applying for a job in my team I either send a test to complete at home or give them an on site test.

I look at the results and the task test comes in the interview when we discuss the reasoning and sources they used. I expect them to use enduring they have at hand. One of the applicants even confessed she had her husband assist. When I asked whether she understood what she filed as an answer she explained the answer. That is what I need from my coworkers. Call it cheating if you please but then I expect them to cheat their way through life to tge fullest.

When evaluating my coworkers, a forlal procedure at my company, I am well aware of their accomplishments and how they perform. I address issues right away and don't wait for formal procedures.

Teachers should know their students, should get the opportunity to work closely with them. I know thats hard with the size of classrooms but of classes are this big and students only have to absorb, why not replace them with interactive online tools? Give teachers the opportunity to teach smaller groups, to work, to remediate,... Then, when a student gets a degree you'll know its worth.
