Entire Arab League condemns Oct 7, urges Hamas to disarm, at 2-state confab

Explain the logic of disarming when facing an enemy that will still kill you if you do. The right of return? Really? Israel will never support that. It’s empty rhetoric.

> The plan would culminate with an independent, demilitarized Palestine living side by side peacefully with Israel

Contrast that idea with the rhetoric of people like Ben-Gvir and Smotrich. Utter delusion.

dismalaf•6mo ago
You're acting like Arab states don't understand the conflict and/or Hamas. They do. Far better than you or most westerners.

There's a reason they haven't materially supported Hamas or the Palestinians, and are now denouncing Hamas...

dttze•6mo ago
They won’t because that would anger the US and Israel. Their interests are money and power, not truth or justice. They are puppets of the west.

Contrast with what the people actually feel in those countries and it’s obvious.

dismalaf•6mo ago
No, it's because they're aware that Hamas is an Iranian/Russian proxy, aka. their enemies. Islamic terrorism also threatens Arab states as much as it does Israel.

And yeah, most people would rather be rich, prosperous and not fall victim to terrorism.

dttze•6mo ago
> Iranian/Russian proxy

Russian proxy? Where are you getting your propaganda from? Russia supports Israel and has only paid lip service to Hamas.

> Islamic terrorism also threatens Arab states

Salafi terrorism, sure. But the US and Israel support those jihadis.

Israeli terrorism is a larger threat. If they materially aided Hamas they would get terror bombed like Lebanon. It will still continue to be a threat as long as people like Ben-Gvir are in power. All you need to lookup is greater Israel to see their long term plans.

> And yeah, most people would rather be rich, prosperous and not fall victim to terrorism.

Only the dictators and their cronies are rich. The average Arab suffers.

dismalaf•6mo ago
> Russian proxy? Where are you getting your propaganda from? Russia supports Israel and has only paid lip service to Hamas.

Maybe try paying attention to the world. Hamas leaders travelled to Moscow after October 7th and met with Putin.

https://www.washingtoninstitute.org/policy-analysis/russias-...

There's also plenty of evidence they provided support to Hamas prior to the attack.

https://thehill.com/opinion/international/4250708-putins-fin...

https://carnegieendowment.org/russia-eurasia/politika/2023/1...

Israel was only cordial with Russia because they controlled Syria's airspace. With all of the Russian leadership's anti-Jewish rhetoric like calling Hitler a Jew, supporting Iran and Hamas, etc..., they're not exactly best friends...

dttze•6mo ago
Cool, thanks for linking where you get your propaganda from.

First link is written by a Zionist aligned think tank and the writer is an anti Russian Atlantic council ghoul.

Second is a US opinion piece with zero evidence, which they even admit, to back it up (which is why it went to the opinion column).

The last is Carnegie Politika which, going by all their recent articles, is another anti Russian group. It’s also a commentary piece with zero evidence.

So, yeah, not a strong argument on your part. No evidence of material support. Just lip service like I said.

"Arab League" is an institution led by the current Arab dictators who were established by the US. after they aborted the Arab spring revolutions. Why anyone would think their opinion matters? They're basically a low-quality feed of the CIA and Moassad.
