Good that it's not a major accident [0].

The hardware's probably all there to be able to automatically determine who's at fault, issue a citation if applicable, pay any fines, settle with the insurance companies, get the vehicles to the repair garage, learn from the experience and change behavior so it happens less often in the future.

Somebody's surely been working on this the whole time, right?

I live in the Phoenix area and I have seen these vehicles do make maneuvers more ridiculous things than any confused tourist. I give Waymos a wider berth than anything else on the road.
