Show HN: Automatic local Git snapshots while you code (macOS)

https://www.shadowgit.com/
1•alessandro-a•6mo ago
Hi HN,

I got tired of making messy "just in case" commits every time AI or a big refactor might break my code. So I built ShadowGit: a macOS app that quietly creates local Git snapshots in the background.

No manual commits, no cluttered history, just instant local restore points.

It's free to download and use during early access and I'd really love your honest feedback.

Happy to answer anything here. Even if you think this idea is dumb, I want to hear it :)

Thank you!

Hi, thanks so much! Are you trying from mobile or desktop?

I noticed a bug on mobile phones but should be fine on desktop
