While running our AI recruitment agency for the past 2 years, we heard our engineering candidates consistently complain that they spend 100’s of hours finding and applying for jobs, often to never have their resume reviewed at all, let alone being contacted.
Job boards like LinkedIn and Indeed feel like they’re built for a previous age: manually scrolling through thousands of jobs to then fill out the same details again and again never to hear back, or getting overwhelmed by automated recruiter messages for jobs that don’t fit. On the other hand there are many experiments with AI job agents, that create a ChatGPT UI for jobs, which we didn’t like so much.
That’s why we built Hunter: a Job Search HUD that uses an AI voice to help you navigate an LLM-filtered job board.
This creates 3 advantages over the status quo: - Deep Understanding. Express what you’re looking for not through filters and keywords, but with your voice. This way, it’s much easier for the system to truly understand that you wanna work on low level software, consumer products or series-A startups
- Highly Curated Jobs. Our job board only presents roles that meet your preferences. Because Hunter has a deep understanding, the jobs are high quality. We can also ping you when new jobs become available that are a great fit (and only then).
- Hiring Team. When you apply for a job, you’ll be competing with hundreds of others. Inspired by ‘AI SDRs’, we’ve built a feature that finds and helps you send personalized messages to the hiring team behind the job. This greatly increases your chances of getting your application actually seen by the right people.

We loved reading this great post here on HN earlier this week on copilots <> HUDs: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=44705445, and very much try to build a product where we combine the best of UI and AI in a HUD like experience.
Would love to get your thoughts and feedback!
