Open‑source tool for async team updates

https://asyncstatus.com

Comments

heysound•12h ago
I got tired of wasting mornings in standups saying what my commit history already showed.

AsyncStatus is an open‑source tool that turns GitHub + Slack activity into async status updates. If there’s no activity, it pings for a quick manual update.

That’s it. No bots in meetings, no vendor lock‑in.

Repo: https://github.com/AsyncStatus/asyncstatus

Would love feedback, especially from people who’ve tried (and maybe given up on) similar tools.

skeptrune•11h ago
I like this idea a lot. Standups are painfully annoying and never feel like a good use of time.

Value calculator on the homepage is a really nice touch as well.

heysound•10h ago
thanks! our ultimate goal is to build technical product manager (ai) because we know how hard it is to find great PM, let alone a technical one. i've been a developer for 6 years and it's so dumb standups are not solved
